MENISCAL INJURIES

Damage to these structures not only cause pain and functional impotence, which prevents patients from the normal development of their sport, but also wear and tear of the joint and triggering premature osteoarthritis in case of injury or large resections. It is therefore crucial to preserve as much as possible as they they behave as «pads» of the joint . In our unit we perform meniscal sutures, artificial implants and transplants of meniscus, to avoid this while allowing the return to the sport as soon as possible with all the guarantees.

ARTICULAR CARTILAGE LESIONS. OSTEOCHONDRAL LESIONS OR CHONDROPATHIES

Latest technology is used to repair these injuries including small implants, microfractures, stem cells or growth factors assisted by arthroscopy and collagen mesh support.

ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT INJURY

Fundamental component of the stability of the knee. Its injury usually makes impossible to do sports. We perform reconstructions of the highest quality and with the shortest waiting time until return to sport is made.

PATELLAR INSTABILITIES OR CHONDROPATHY

Injured patellar ligaments are repaired by arthroscopic techniques and cartilaginous defects of the kneecap are repaired also. Osteotomies are performed to correct a misalignment of the kneecap that often causes this disease.

KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS SURGERY

In our unit we treat the damaged joint with the best surgical techniques nowadays. Depending on the degree of injury more or less aggressive techniques will be used, but our priority is to preserve the greatest possible healthy tissue and therein lies our success.

ARTHROSCOPIC TECHNIQUES

They are employed primarily the treatment of articular cartilage damage when arthrosis is very localized.

TIBIAL OR FEMORAL OSTEOTOMIES

They are used when there is a deformity associated with osteoarthritis whose correction may improve the situation. Minimally invasive techniques are employed with very small scar and robotic navigation in order to obtain maximum precision on correction to improve results.

PARTIAL JOINT PROSTHESIS

We try to replace only the damaged joint parts thus preserving healthy bone so the results are spectacular. We use Navigation with robots and minimal incision surgery (MIS), allowing an early recovery and a prosthetic quality and durable.

TOTAL PROSTHESIS

Similarly we carry out complete prosthetic replacements when the joint is damaged completely. We also use Navigation computers and Minimally Invasive Surgery when it is technically feasible and deformities are not excessive.
